The Royal Library of Belgium is home to the largest collection of drawings in the country. The collection's focus has always been on the Flemish and Dutch schools. Highlights include works by old masters such as Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Joris Hoefnagel, Hendrik Goltzius, Pieter Paul Rubens, Anthony Van Dyck and Jacob Jordaens.
To date, however, most of the collection has been little studied and is virtually unknown to the general public.
