Art Deco represents an eclectic taste, the result of a mix of influences. It imposed itself with the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925, and remained in vogue until the mid-1930s. Ceramics, the most exquisite expression of this style, is widely documented here, through the works of famous artists such as, among others, Anselmo Bucci, Francesco Nonni, Domenico Rambelli, Pietro Melandri, Riccardo Gatti and Giovanni Guerrini, in a fertile dialogue with the most important manufacturers in Italy and beyond.
