The title of the publication, Processi 144_M. Entrelazarse con Roma, speaks of the 144 years that the Spanish Academy has been present in Rome-three centuries during which this institution has become established as a creation centre that stands out for its excellence, as well as a space for knowledge and cultural production whose hallmark is the diversity of creative languages that make it a meeting point for different cultures.
At the same time, the word Processi refers to the experiences of the 920 grant-holders that have spent a period of their lives at the Academy. They have lived through these experiences as part of a process which has left a mark in the subsequent career-paths of each one of them. Because of this, the works that can be found in this book are only just the beginning, in Rome, of something that will probably fully become into being in the next years or decades.
