Caribaï is an artist born inTokyo in 1984. She's graduate with a Diplôme National Supérieur d'Expression Plastique (DNSEP, Fr, 2008). She's been living and working in Brussels since 2009 and exhibit regularly hers works since 2004 in France and in Belgium where she received several awards and grants for creation.
« Caribaï is a Japanese painter. She was born in Tokyo of French- Venezuelan parents. She spent her first childhood years in the Japanese capital. Has she kept images, sound and olfactory impressions of this? Of course. But that is not the reason why she is a Japanese painter. Her work as I look at it makes her a Japanese artist.
