Photographe autodidacte, il a laissé de côté l'appareil argentique pendant de longues décennies avant d'y revenir lors d'un voyage au Pérou en 2014. Il est avant tout un photographe en marche, qui se déplace vers l'autre, sans faire un pas de côté mais au contraire qui se confronte à l'altérité et cherche à montrer ce qui rassemble les êtres. Sa photographie est instinctive, au plus près de l'humain, enserrée dans l'instantanéité et la simplicité d'une rencontre. Il résiste à la normalisation visuelle à l'oeuvre dans un contexte de profusion d'images en continuant sans faillir à rendre compte de la diversité humaine, sociale, pour décloisonner et faire table rase des stéréotypes.
